Aaron Rodgers drains hole-in-one during Las Vegas trip with Jets’ offensive line

Aaron Rodgers made an emphatic return to golf over the weekend — and some of the Jets’ offensive linemen were there to witness it.

The Jets quarterback reportedly coordinated a trip to Vegas with all of his offensive lineman, and at one point, during his first round of golf since tearing his Achilles, Rodgers sank a hole-in-one on the 17th hole — a par-3 one with a distance between 140-154 yards — at Shadow Creek Golf Course, according to an Instagram post.

He included a video of the group’s reaction after the successful shot, which included Rodgers standing with both hands on his head in disbelief, as well as another clip where Rodgers picked the ball out of the cup and flashed his index finger toward the camera.

Max Mitchell, Chris Glaser and Connor McGovern were the others Jets that Rodgers golfed with.

And based on testimonial quotes attributed to Rodgers on the Shadow Creek website, it doesn’t appear to have been his first time playing that course, either.

“One of the prettiest, yet most difficult shots in golf,” Rodgers said in a quote next to the 17th hole’s description.

And next to the seventh hole, a Rodgers quote describes Shadow Creek as a place that “doesn’t feel like Las Vegas. It is the toughest and prettiest I’ve ever played.”

Wes Schweitzer also posted a group photo of the Jets teammates on Instagram as they watched a Golden Knights game and Rodgers held a customized No. 8 jersey.

Rodgers only played four snaps behind the linemen this season, as the 40-year-old was tackled on the Jets’ first drive and exited with what ended up being a torn Achilles.

Still, a recovery that followed a quicker timeline than usual didn’t exactly end Rodgers’ season until the Jets were eliminated from the postseason after losing to the Dolphins on Dec. 17, and even after that occurred, he continued practicing.

The Jets shuffled linemen into different spots throughout the entire season, with only left guard Laken Tomlinson starting all 17 games.

But even if the Jets’ offensive line looks different in 2024, and even if they decide to draft one option — or two options — that could anchor combinations of the future, Rodgers managed to get Gang Green’s current positional group together another time.

He found a way to provide a highlight clip, too.
