It’s a good time to be the 36-year-old right-hander, who is coming off an exceptional season with the Dodgers and appears to have a half-dozen teams in the market for him, including the St. Louis Cardinals, the Baltimore Orioles, the Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angels. The Dodgers also remain in the market to re-sign him.

Brasier started last season with Boston but the Red Sox designated him for assignment on May 15 and released him on May 21. The Dodgers signed him on June 4.

Something changed in Los Angeles. While he went 1-0 with a 7.29 ERA in 20 games with the Red Sox. With the Dodgers, he went 2-0 with a 0.70 ERA in 39 games with 10 holds and a save. He struck out 38, walked 10 and held hitters to a .140 batting average.

After a short stint with the Angels in 2013, he resurfaced with the Red Sox in 2018 and spent the next five-plus seasons with the Red Sox, coming away with a World Series ring in 2018.

For his 268 MLB appearances he is 9-8 with a 3.88 ERA with 256 strikeouts, 79 walks and a .234 opponent batting average. He also has 57 holds and 10 saves.

Between the Angels and the Red Sox he spent time in the Oakland Athletics system and he also signed overseas with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball for the 2017 season. With the Carp he had a 3.00 ERA in 26 relief appearances with 19 strikeouts and eight walks in 30 innings.
