The Green Bay Packers welcomed a new era in when they traded away Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets this past off-season. Many former players and coaches followed Rodgers to New York. Much of those additions had to do with the four-time MVP quarterback recruiting personnel to join the gang green with him.
That will be no different during the 2024 off-season.
Aaron Rodgers Is Once Again Recruiting Former Green Bay Packers Players To Join Him In New York
According to Ian Rapoport Aaron Rodgers will once again attempt to recruit Davante Adams to New York this offseason, however, the Raiders have zero plans to trade him at this time
Recruiting Adams is no surprise, as Rodgers said in his end-of-season press conference that he would be willing to help the front office recruit in the offseason.
“If [general manager Joe Douglas] wants my help in recruiting, I’m available. I don’t necessarily think it has to be anybody associated with this system,” Rodgers said. “It’s about character. You know, I think we need some characters on the offensive line. Some of the best lines we’ve ever had, have had some serious characters.”
Over the last two seasons, the Raiders have gone 14-20 and haven’t made the playoffs since 2021. Las Vegas may not present Adams with the opportunity to win a Super Bowl.
Despite having a new head coach in Antonio Pierce next season, the Raiders need to upgrade several areas, most notably at quarterback, and it’s unlikely they’ll contend for a championship. It will be interesting to see what kind of trade package the Jets put together if they want to acquire Adams.
