The full injury report for Sunday’s game between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics
The Miami Heat (28-24) are facing off against the Boston Celtics (40-12) on Sunday afternoon at the Kaseya Center.
The Heat have won four of their last five games, the latest of which was a 12-point victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Meanwhile, the Celtics are coming off a narrow win against the Washington Wizards.
Here’s the injury report:
HEAT
Jimmy Butler: Questionable – Personal Reasons
R.J. Hampton: Out – Not With Team
Dru Smith: Out – Right Knee Surgery
Cole Swider: Out – G League – Two-Way
Alondes Williams: Out – G League – Two-Way
CELTICS
Xavier Tillman: Out – Knee
Jaden Springer: Questionable – Ankle
Butler missed his second consecutive practice on Saturday. The team termed it as an excused absence, with his status for Sunday likely being a game-time decision. The Heat hold a winning record this year in games without Butler, who has dealt with numerous injuries. He is in the middle of arguably his best stretch of the season, averaging 23.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.2 assists in the last five games.
Springer and Tillman were acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers and Memphis Grizzlies at Thursday’s trade deadline.
The Heat and Celtics game acts as a precursor for the Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.
