The full injury report for Saturday’s contest between the Miami Heat and New York Knicks
The Miami Heat (24-21) are taking on a tough challenge on Saturday afternoon, facing off against the New York Knicks (28-17).
Miami is in arguably their worst slump of the regular season, with five consecutive defeats. The latest of which was a 33-point loss to Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics. Meanwhile, the Knicks are one of the strongest teams in the league since acquiring forward OG Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors. They have won nine of their last 11 games.
Here’s the injury report:
HEAT
Jaime Jaquez Jr.: Available – Left Groin Strain
Dru Smith: Out – Right Knee Surgery
KNICKS
Isaiah Hartenstein: Questionable – Left Achilles Tendinopathy
Mitchell Robinson: Out – Left Ankle Surgery
Jaquez makes his return to the lineup after missing six games with a groin injury. He is among the best rookies in the NBA, providing the Heat with major support prior to his absence.
The Heat are in dire need of a polarizing win because of their recent struggles. This is the healthiest Miami roster to take the court, meaning this matchup could act as a golden opportunity to get back on the right track.
New York’s stars in Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle, and Anunoby are thriving on the offensive end. This is a major concern due to Miami’s lackluster defense in recent contests.
