Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier recently commented on the difference between losing with the Heat and Charlotte Hornets
Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier came from a small market team in the Charlotte Hornets, but it didn’t take much for him to make headlines on social media in his new city.
On Tuesday, Rozier compared the differences between losing in Miami and Charlotte.
“It’s the total opposite. In Charlotte, you’re kinda used to losing. It’s in the DNA. It sucks to say that cause of how much of a competitor I am,” Rozier said. “Over here, it’s the total opposite. Nobody wants to lose. Nobody is fine with it.”
The remark caught the eyes of many, with outlets including Bleacher Report and SportsCenter covering it. Rozier was frustrated with the portrayal of Bleacher Report’s post on X, replying with a clear meaning to his comment.
“Terry Rozier says losing in Miami is the “complete opposite.” The Heat are on a 7 game losing streak,” B/R posted.
“I’m just talkin the vibes after a lost…yall the worse,” Rozier replied to the post on X.
Since joining the Heat on Jan. 23, the team is winless. The comment about his former team was uncalled for but came from a place of emotion in the midst of a losing streak. It sheds a positive light on Rozier’s competitive nature through his care for the outcome of games.
