Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro missed Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a headache
Miami Heat star Tyler Herro returned to the familiar subject of trade rumors on social media prior to Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Herro was downgraded to questionable before tip-off, then ruled out with a headache. The decision surprised a multitude of fans because of the need for scorers against the star-studded Clippers lineup. Once announced on social media, fans began speculating if a trade is in the works for the 24-year-old guard.
The former Sixth Man of the Year is no stranger to hearing his name in trade negotiations. Perhaps the greatest example came during the offseason with Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard. With the trade deadline a few days away, it should come as no surprise that fans are searching for ways to involve him in the rumors.
Despite the trade talks, Herro is having one of the best statistical seasons of his career. He is averaging career-highs in points, assists, and steals. The downside is his efficiency struggles in recent weeks, shooting 42.9 percent and 40.3 percent from the arc.
However, not all fans are jumping to the conclusion of a trade. Some are comparing his situation to that of Heat legend Dwyane Wade. The Hall of Famer struggled with migraines throughout his career, which caused him to miss a multitude of games.
