Aaron Rodgers made a massive impact on the Green Bay Packers for many years.
While he might have left on less-than-ideal terms, his legacy on the Pacekrs is undeniable.
Rodgers has been seen as one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks throughout his career, an on-field role model for many upcoming prospects.
This was made evident in Caleb Williams’ recent conversation with the Pro Football Talk team at the Combine.
When asked about the quarterback that he idolized growing up, Williams was quick to say Rodgers’ name.
Williams discussed Rodgers’ ability to throw the ball from any angle seemingly.
He talked about how he can throw when he is in or out of the pocket and how he would like to emulate that during his upcoming career.
Williams is viewed as one of the best quarterback prospects in recent history.
If he can play like Rodgers at points in his first season with whatever team drafts him, he should be in a great position to succeed immediately.
While Williams might not get the direct experience under Rodgers, if he follows in his footsteps, he will be just fine.
Jordan Love is a prime example of this.
Love had three years to see how Rodgers approached the game, studying him closely in practices and games.
After this experience, when Love got the opportunity to start, he certainly didn’t squander it.
He is now the face of the Packers and will hopefully be their quarterback for the foreseeable future.
