Denver Broncos Select Potential Franchise Quarterback in Latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft

How will the Denver Broncos address their need at quarterback?

Former NFL general manager, Mike Tannenbaum released his latest 2024 NFL mock draft. In his latest mock, Tannenbaum has the Denver Broncos sticking at pick 13 and selecting their potential franchise signal caller in the form of Oregon’s 2023 Heisman Trophy finalist, Bo Nix.

“Obviously Denver is in transition at QB after releasingRussell Wilson. Nix’s 77.4% completion rate led the nation in 2023, and he threw 45 TD passes to three interceptions. He has the accuracy and anticipation to succeed in Sean Payton’s offense. The big concern would be the arm strength. His deep balls fluttered at times at the Senior Bowl, and that matches what I see on tape. It may limit his ceiling, but it’s also something that Payton can work around and develop.”

Denver Broncos’ Drama with Russell Wilson Clouds Early 2024 Off-Season
Russell Wilson signed a five-year, $242 million deal with the Broncos following the trade between Denver and Wilson’s longtime home, the Seattle Seahawks following the 2021 season. The club bit the bullet and amicably parted ways with the potential future Hall of Fame signal-caller ahead of the new league year on March 1.

Wilson signed a one-year, veteran minimum ($1.21 million) deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, shortly after his departure with the Broncos became official. While Wilson will reportedly be starting in Pittsburgh following the club trading former first-round pick, Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver will still be paying Wilson $39 million to not play for them in 2024.
